At The Fame Times, every celebrity news story, biography, and comparison article passes through a defined research and verification process before it’s published โ€” and again whenever facts change.

How We Source Our Stories

We rank sources in this order of trust:

  1. Primary/official records โ€” studio filmographies, award-body records (Academy, Emmy, Grammy), court and public records for legal matters, verified press releases
  2. Established entertainment and news outlets โ€” outlets with their own editorial standards and fact-checking (e.g. major trade press, wire services)
  3. On-record interviews and verified social media โ€” statements made directly by the subject or their representatives
  4. Secondary aggregators โ€” used only to cross-reference, never as a sole source

We do not publish claims โ€” about net worth, relationships, health, or legal matters โ€” sourced only from unverified tabloids, anonymous social posts, or forums. When a widely circulated claim can’t be verified against at least two independent, credible sources, we either label it clearly as unconfirmed or leave it out.

Our Review Process

Every article goes through:

  • Research and drafting by a staff writer or editor assigned to the beat (celebrity news, sports, reviews)
  • Fact-checking by our editorial team, led by Mia Johnson (Fact Checker, Celebrity & Sports), who cross-references names, dates, filmographies, and figures against at least two independent sources before publication
  • Editorial review by the relevant senior editor (Olivia Thompson for celebrity news, Chloe Adams for entertainment/reviews, Ryan Parker or Jason Moore for sports) before anything goes live

What We Don’t Publish

  • Speculation about a living person’s health, sexuality, or relationships presented as fact
  • Unverified death/injury rumors
  • AI-generated or fabricated quotes attributed to real people
  • Claims copied from a single unverified source with no cross-check

Who Writes What

Bylines on The Fame Times reflect who actually researched and wrote the piece, not a generic staff account. You can see each writer’s background and beat on our About page.
