When We Update an Article
We revisit and update published articles when:
- A subject has a major career update (new film, award, project announcement)
- A major life event occurs (marriage, death, legal outcome)
- Reported figures (net worth, age-related facts, career stats) become outdated
- A reader or third party flags a factual error
Editorial Standards & Review Methodology
Update Cadence
- Breaking/trending stories (e.g. our celebrity comparison and news pieces): reviewed for accuracy within 30 days of any major related news
- Biography pages: reviewed at least twice a year, or immediately upon a major life event (death, award, career milestone)
- Evergreen comparison pages: checked whenever one of the subjects has significant news, so figures don’t go stale
Visible Update Signals
Updated articles display a “Last updated” date distinct from the original publish date. Where a correction materially changes the substance of an article (not just a typo), we note it directly in the article, e.g.:
Correction ([date]): This article originally stated [X]. It has been corrected to reflect [Y].
Minor edits (typos, formatting, added links) are not separately flagged.

How to Report an Error
If you spot something inaccurate or outdated in one of our articles, contact us via our Contact page with:
- The article URL
- The specific claim you believe is incorrect
- A source, if you have one, supporting the correction
Our fact-checking team (led by Mia Johnson) reviews correction requests and aims to respond within 5 business days. Confirmed errors are corrected promptly; disputed claims are reviewed against our sourcing standards before any change is made.
